Cleveland Chess is dedicated to promoting chess for students in both public and private schools. We are not only interested in supporting quality chess programs but quality schools as well. One such school in the Cleveland area is Westside Christian Academy.

We are pleased to present a check for $500 to principal Kathy Mack to help the school in its latest campaign “Be The One!” The challenge is to raise $50,000 by April of 2009. For more information on how you can help the school, please visit WCA’s website by clicking on the link above and viewing their video “Be The One!”

We would like to encourage and challenge you to “raise the temperature” for the school. Any donation of $25 or more will be acknowledged on this website. Donations of $100 or more will include a link to your place of business as a gesture of our appreciation for your help. Send us an email to Cleveland Chess at bsq451@sbcglobal.net so that we may verify your contribution and add your name below. Thank you for Being The One!
