Now why do I think that’s a rhetorical question?
ng3+ kh4 rg4#
i mean ng3+ kg4 rg4+ kh3 and rook moves on the 4th row to deliver mate
no because of rxb
ng3 kh4
rg4+ kh3
rg5+ kh4
rh5#
b
And after Ng3 Kh4
Rg4+ Kh3
Rg5+ Rxf5
Nxf5 and Rg3# on next move
Ng3+ Kh4
Rg4+ Kh3
Rxg7+ Kh4
Rg4+ Kh3
Rg6+ Kh4
Rh6#
did it without looking at the board again, hope it is right.
looking again, i see i missed RxB… i am not sure there is a mate at all now.
There is a mate…but you will have to move ur bishop back so that the black rook does not take it off….so somewhere in between Be6 is required
1.ng3+ kh4
2.rg4+ kh3
3.rg5+! rxf5 (3…kh4, 4.rh5#)
4.nxf5 any move by black
5.rg3#
(ahhh, as i can see pwspar gave already the answer…)
ng3 kh3
rg4+ kh3
rxg7 rxf5
nxf5 (whatever black moves)
rg3+
How about a simpler Rg3. Any move by black, Rh3++
Did I miss anything?
Arun
I realized my mistake RxB …
Arun
Ng3+ Kh4
Rg4+ Kh3
Rg5+
1. … Kh4 Rh5#
2. … Rxf5 Nxf5 and next move Rg3#
Ng3 check and Rg4 checkmate.
