How about Rxh7 Kxh7 Qh3+
followed by Qh6#, obviously.
I didn’t find the solution 🙁
I was thinking about bringing another rook to h1 and found it very slow. Like
1. Nf3 Nxf3
2. Rh1
with a threat of Rxh7+
If
2. … Kh8
3. Qxg6 etc
I also tried
1. Nf3 Rde8
2. Rh1 Rxe6
3. Rxh7+ Kg8
4. Bxe6+ Q/Rf7
5. Rh8+ Kg7
6. R1h7#
But the solution Rxh7 Kxh7 Qh3+ with Qh6# is simple and neat. Only one possible reply by black for every move!!!
P. Anandh
Wow. I have outcalculated Anand. I had no idea I’m THAT good at chess.
Check! Check! Check! Three checks will do the job!
