Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Wonder what happened in Topa’s head, giving a draw to Aronian being 2 pawns up in evaluation in the blindfold game. Just being friendly?
wow kamsky ties for first in rapid! cool.
Kamsky is also last in blindfold! Not so cool 🙂
Does this tournament count in computing ratings? Looks like Topalov might lose some points.
No – it’s not rating tournament.
No – it’s not rating tournament.
Yes it was funny seeing Topalov miss win in the end of blind game. Gata had two extremes, first in rapid and last in blind! Still a great result in rapid for Gata and not so good for his match victor Topalov.
For sure Topalov is planning W Ch. and so tactics does not allow him to win @ Aronian while he has no chance to win Amber and Anand does have if Aronian loses! So simple.
It sucks.
O how simple the knowledge of the circumstances comes along here!
Aronian deserved to win this tournament, if you look at it as a whole with 22 games.
And Topalov will have no chance to win the world title later this year.
okay
… and by t5he way the game
w a s draw. Show me how you want to win this position!
okay
Rapid and blindfold games counting for rating???
You don’t know much about chess, do you?
Topalov let Aronian off the hook as he did not want to give Anand any advantage. The usual unscrupulous Topalov/Danailov tactics.
