Chess: Armenia to take part in the 17th European Team Championship
GMs Levon Aronian, Vladimir Akopian, Gabriel Sargissian, Arman Pashikian and Tigran L. Petrosian will take part in the 17th European Team Championship in composition of the Armenian national team. The tournament is due in Novi Sad, Serbia, October 21 – 30, 2009.
The members of Armenian women’s national team in the European Women’s Team Championship will be WGMs Elina Danielian, Lilit Mkrtchian, Lilit Galoyan, Nelli Aginian and WIM Siranush Andriasian.

Strangely, “patzer” Armenia is olympic champion, twice in a row 🙂
