After the request and the letter below of Mr Alexander Chernenko, manager of GM Gata Kamsky, the FIDE President has agreed to give an extension of three more days as deadline for receiving alternative bids on the Kamsky – Topalov WCC semi-final match.
FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov considers this decision as a last resource to achieve improved financial conditions for both players.

Here is a response from Topalov’s manager S. Danailov which is published on the chessdom.com website:
“The first deadline was April 11, since then it changed 4 times. This seriously damages the FIDE image and shows that they cannot cope with the situation. I am sure in 3 days nothing will have changed. This is not funny, it is sad.”
What is your prediction?
– More delay?
– A match in Bulgaria?
– A match in Ukraine?
– Replacement by Shirov?
I predict more delay; with the match ending up in Bulgaria.
Kasparov experienced similar runarounds with his proposed matches with Ponomariov and Kasimdzhanov, so this sort of thing is nothing new.

Ilyumzhinov & crew simply must be got rid of, one way or the other.

I predict replacement by Shirov who goes on to win the match and then face Kramnik in a match that proves that the universe loves irony.

Martin, are you absolutely sure that the e-mail address of Kamsky´s manager proves that “Ilumzinov is a corrupt puppet” ? Somehow that is not clear to me.
arc, look at it this way: You’re Ilumzinov, you have shown in the past that your promises and deadlines are worthless. After three deadline changes when finaly the day for announcement comes… and goes by… you post on the official FIDE site a one sentense vague STATEMENT (not a plea for extension, a mere CLARIFICATION) that the money guarantee will be available at a later date. On top of it all, this so-called letter is signed with a gmail account. ===========
Next thing – the match is cancelled because Ilumzinov is AGAIN abducted by alliens who told him HE should be playing the final.
I still don’t understand what Chernenko´s e-mail address has to do with Kirsan or FIDE. Should his letter not have been published because he has an address you find “ridiculous”? Okay, I disagree; I don´t see how it matters.
Could you please find me the web site for the Multiinvest Holding? It is reasonable assumption that if they can put $1mil on the table they have a web site too, right? And to recap it for you, without having to go into small talk semantics about the relevance of the email domain – this bid will NEVER materialize and all this is all BS because the chipmunk Ilumzinov runs FIDE in the most-unprofessional dictatorship style.
