Who’s daddy?
Ms. Kosteniuk is actually a Mrs.
She’s married to her manager/photographer.
His name is Diego (I forget his surname).
She’s been married to Diego Garces for many years.
Isn’t he a really old guy?
I think he’s in the 50’s and she’s in her early 20’s. But I’m not 100% sure.
Perhaps the birth will be approx July 1. We wish her good health.
Around Aug 15, A.K. is scheduled to defend her Chess Tigers chess960 title in Mainz Germany.
I wonder whether she will play in Mainz this year? I wonder whether she yet knows?
How will Alexandra continue her chess career, now having the demands of a baby.
For that matter, how does Judit P. do it? Can she afford to pay a nearly full-time nanny?

Answer: I am ready to defend my title and was planning to go to Mainz, but the organizer seems to have lost a sponsor, and so he is pushing the date for the women, senior and junior world championships to 2008. It’s a pity but I look forward to the match in 2008!

I knew she has bee “ill” for some time, causing her to miss defending her Russian ladies’ champion title in December and from competing in Wijk aan Zee in January, but until now the nature of the illness had not been disclosed.

In Track and Field, several women had babies and then came back stronger than ever. All of those good “motherly” changes seemed to increase their strength and endurance.
I wonder if there is a baby effect in chess?
