This is excellent, maybe the Anand camp was planning on making Magnus ill with food poisoning. Notice how Anand is not going to inspect the venue? This means he already has stuff in place, like Kramnik had, for computer assistance. A big mistake for Magnus to play in India! No the chickens are coming home to roost!
Do you mean before when you are ill you must play the game anyway??
People should not take this TV news bit as what Anand or his camp says or feels. They probably were simply miffed that they got shouted down when they tried to ask a provocative question to the World Number 1. Everyone involved in chess in India respects both the Champion and the Candidate, as they do each other. This media house is simply looking for cheap TRP by engaging in controversial reporting.
This is absolutely not Anand’s stance on the illness clause, whatever this media house says. “Sources in Anand’s camp” is laughable. Any random stranger living down the street from Anand can claim to be in “Anand’s camp”.
As for the anon comments saying Anand needs computer assistance… I can only laugh at this…
why would carlsen scared of anand if he beat him plenty of times! Anand should be scared of carlsen by now!
Plrase dont attach much significance to this news report. Times Now is known to sensationalise its reports. Anand and his team have nothing to do with this.
