well, the only fancy thing i can spot, is:
1. Qxe6+ fxe6
2. Bg6+ Ke7
3. Nc6+ Kd6
4. Nxd8
i´m not sure, that´s the best way to proceed though. greets, jan
Nc6, Qb6; Qxe6, fxe6; Bg6#
!ne6 2Qe6 &Bg6 mate
Nc6 and black must give up queen to avoid mate in 2 starting with Qxe6
White wins a quality after double check:
1. Nxe6 Qb6 (fxe6?? 2.Qxe6+ Be7 3.Bg6+ Kf8 4.Qf7#)
2. Nc7++ Kd8
3. Nxa8 Bb7
1. Nc6 Qc7 2. Qxp+ pxQ 3. Bg6++
Hi Susan Polgar,
Well,White’s initial move “N*e6” seems to be better fit.I got to watch television show – Rest tomorrow.

I looked at all fancy Nxe6, Qxe6+ etc. variations, before hitting upon the correct solution:
1. Nc6!!
There’s nothing attacking the knight, so the queen has to save her butt. How?
1… Qb6 (or Qc7)
2. Qxe6+! fxe6 (2… Be7 3. Qxe7#)
3. Bg6#
So saving the queen doesn’t work. Black will have to give up the queen and try to save the game. In my view, 1… c4 is the best move for black under the circumstances, followed by 2. Nxd8 Bxb4+ 3. Bd2 cxd3 4. Qxd3 Bxd2+ 5. Qxd2 Kxd8 which gives black three minor pieces for the queen, which is not all that bad a bargain (though the positional disadvantages – the king stranded in the centre, the isolated and backward a-pawn and white’s soon-to-be-passed-c-pawn – will all hurt in the endgame).
1. Sc6 Dc7
2. Dxe6 fe6
3. Lg6 ##
very nice!
If somebody has the whole game it will be wonderful.

Hi Susan Polgar,
Well,I differ from other comment posters at black’s reply – because players of that standard will give no room,for few of the comments given here.
Look at this
Example
=======
1.N*e6 Qe7
2.Nc7+ [ Variations exist ] Kd8
3.N*Ra8 Bb7 [ lol – Now what ? Play will continue but result is based on the strength of the players ]
My opinion is of course “N*e6” the better available options – after Blacks reply “Qe7” there are variations but still it could be anybody’s game – based on the strength of the players.

C’mon folks, if you don’t get this easy win with Nc6 then you’re not even trying. Nxe6 just loses the N for a couple of pawns: … fxe6 2. Qxe6+ Qe7 … and MrB, Black only has two pieces for the Queen in your line.
