Looks easy – Bc3 wins easily.
Looks pretty easy.
Bc3 wins easily.
Bc3 wins the queen since 0-0 leaves her hanging and Qxc3 Qxc3 and the queen is not guarded because of the rook pin.
I don’t see that white has any viable reply to 1…Bc3 skewering the queen to the king with the threat of 2…Qxe2#. The knight can’t take the bishop as it is pinned by the rook at e8. If the king tries to move away, to break the pins, then the bishop will take the queen and black should easily win.
1…Bc3
Well, Bc3 is so obviously winning that I have to be missing a short mate here somewhere, but I am not seeing it right now. Why else is this a problem.
1. … Bc3 -+
Bc3
I was looking at the problem and my mind wandered to thinking about something else when BC3 came to my mind. Then I grinned and thought that is a very sinister move. As the germans would say. This person is screwed yes?
1. .. Bc3
1. … Bc3
White’s Q is pinned, white’s N is pinned, White can resign.
Mark
1….Bc3 and white normally resigns.
