So this is chess: May the best one win!
okay
Leinier Dominguez lost the tournament in one day 🙂

Had Carlsen known that Dominguez would succumb to Bacrot he probably would not have pushed that (too!) hard against Alekseev.
In this case the tie-break would have been between Dominguez and Carlsen with Alekseev clear third. Just so little…
It looks like Carlsen has peaked out now. All the people who thought he would be the next Kasparov were wrong. This is a probably as high as he will go in the rating list, now comes burn out and decline.

lol …
Carlsen is 18 years old.
Carlsen just plays bad openings without any advantage …
an amazing example : e4 e5 Nf3 Nc6 Bb5 d3?!
Kasparov’chess was all preparation at home.
So this is chess: May the best one win!
… and the best in Biel was Alekseev.
Russian chess is so great, that they even send five others to Dresden:
Kramnik, Morozevich, Svidler, Grischuk and Jakovenko.
Think about it and stop talking that bullshit about rating and peak out and so on.
Tomorrow I will meet magnus for the first time in Mainz. he is a nice young man, but not a monster.
And of course Anand will stay alive.
okay

I agree with 4. Carlsen is weak and Alekseev will become the strongest player of all times. Soon he’ll reach 2800.
I don’t agree that he will even reach 2753 let alone 2800-.
Also even those who will reach 2903 may not neccessarily be the greatest of their time, let alone all times, let alone reaching 2800.
Also you keep changing your mind- you said the same things for Dominguez and Bacrot recently.
My, you must think that this Biel is the strongest tournament of all time!!
I myself don’t think this tournament was the 5th strongest of this time, let alone the strongest of this time, let alone the strongest of all time.
So just LET ALONE!
IMO he didn’t play strong, to keep opening preparations for somes betters opponents.
His result is not that bad.
I agree, Carlsen has peaked out now. A 17 yo in a 10 round tourney with only a 2741 performance should be told he has no future in chess.
i agree with hangover: he is weak, i probably can beat him myself if i knew a little theory. While alekseev is strong and he’ll soon be 2800
