very difficult position.
If it was white’s turn Qxg7 Rxg7 Rxg7+ Kh8 Ng6# is mate, so black needs to do something against it.
1… Nd3+! forces white to take the knight (otherwise he gets easy mated) if he takes with Rg3 just Bxd3 with winning position.
If
2.Nxd3 Ba2!
3.Ne5 Bxb1 (covering g6!)
4.Qxb1 Qxb1+
5.Kxb1 Nh5 and black has a winning endgame.
why 1… Nd3+!
I would go for 1… Nxc1 !! – much stronger
I didn’t get the “… Nxc1 !! ” until I saw the previous comment.
My thought is:
1. …Qxb1+,
2. Kxd1 Bb3
3. Bc2 Qb1+ (Qc2 is bad for white, K off the row is bad due to the next rook moves)
4. Kd2 Rxf2+ that’s as far as I calculated. It looks good to me the Q can do some damage, the knight may help soon … the white king is in bad shape after this
oops, missed the knight blocking, I moved it in my head in other variations and forgot about not having done it in this one … still, it can be sacrificed too, 5 … Ne4+ still seems ok in my head
are you guys kidding??? its Qb2+ Kxd1, Qxd4+, etc….
