The organizers of Tata Steel Chess tournament (Wijk-aan-Zee) and the ACP are glad to announce the start of cooperation, commencing from the next edition of Tata Steel Chess in January 2015.

Tata Steel Chess has approved the proposal of the ACP and will provide two wild cards to the most successful players of the ACP Tour 2014.

In particular, Tata Steel Chess will invite the best player of the ACP Tour (based on standings on December 5, 2014) rated below 2750 Elo on the start of the Tour (January 1, 2014) for the Tata Steel Masters (also known as A-Group).

In addition Tata Steel Chess will invite the leader of the ACP Women Tour on November 1, 2014 for the Tata Steel Challengers (B-Group).

The ACP Board would like to thank the organizers of Tata Steel Chess – the oldest and most popular chess supertournament in the world.

Both sides expect this partnership to become a strategic cooperation which will provide a deserving players with a chance to find their way to the chess pinnacle.
