White wins a pawn by taking. Therefore, take away!
But what about
1.Nxd6 Rxd6
2.Rxd6 Rxd6
3. e5 Nd5 (4.Nxd5 Rxd5)
4.Rd4 Rd7 ?
Isnt black simply a piece up, or did i miss anything?
Take on d6? I don’t get it!
1. Nxd6 Rxd6 2. Rxd6 Rxd6 3. e5 Nd5, and now what?
Am I missing something very obvious?
In the actual game, White took on d6 and played 4. Rf2, and lost the game later being a piece down.
Must be an oversight, overlooking that Nd5 attacks Rf4.
Why is this “a very good puzzle”?
Game here.
