A special game by Vasily Smyslov featured in the 4th edition of CEWN

A rare game of the chess legend Vasily Smyslov will be featured in the 4th edition of the Chess Evolution Weekly Newsletter (CEWN). A large part of the edition will be dedicated to the World Chess Champion from 1957 to 1958 and Candidate for the World Chess Championship on eight occasions (1948, 1950, 1953, 1956, 1959, 1965, 1983, and 1985).

The game of the 7th World Champion shows his complete understanding of all tactical elements of chess. With a nice pawn sacrifice Smyslov takes the initiative, leaves the opponent’s king in the center and launches a devastating attack against it.
