Unlike in typical tournaments where the leaders can mail it in the final game, all games in this round have serious consequences. Meier is leading by 1 point over Onischuk. However, he cannot play safe for a draw because Onischuk can capture the title with a last round win. Onischuk also cannot play safe because So and Almasi are within striking distance with a three point win. Anything can happen and every game has been hard fought so far.

Final round results

Perelshteyn 1/2 Meier
Onischuk 1-0 Robson
So 1/2 Almasi

Now everything will come down to one game, Onischuk vs. Robson. If Robson holds, Meier wins the 2010 SPICE Cup. If Onischuk can win, he will win the SPICE Cup for the 2nd time. He tied for 1st two years ago.

Robson put up a great fight but at the end, Onischuk pulled out a win in the endgame.
