A future World Champion?
China is banking on this young man, GM Wei Yi, to be their first ever World Champion! He is the youngest to break 2600 and 2700 (beating Magnus Carlsen’s record). He played a pivotal role in helping China win their 1st Olympiad Gold and World Team Championship Gold!
He is now the #1 junior (20 and under) and he is still only 15!! Not only he is well coached and well supported by the Chinese government, most importantly, he is willing to be coached!
