Six grandmasters share first at Chigorin Memorial Rapid
GM Sergei Yudin first on tiebreaks

The strong Chigorin Memorial, with participation of over 100 GMs and IMs, started in St. Petersburg. The first event was a 9 round rapid tournament with time control 15 min + 5 sec.

After the last round six players finished top of the table with 7,0/9 – GM Sergei Yudin, GM Zaven Andriasian, GM Pablo Lafuente, GM Evgeny Vorobiov, GM Eldar Gasanov, and GM Hrant Melkumyan. With the best Buchholz tiebreak was GM Sergei Yudin.
