Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Great tournament so far for So. He has a tough two rounds ahead of him, though. He’ll be facing Vachier-Lagrave and Ding in rounds 9 and 10. If he can survive those rounds the way he survived his games against Carlsen and Caruana, he just might win this tournament. Carlsen still has to face the four players who are playing well so far: Vachier-Lagrave, Ding, Ivanchuk, and Radjabov.
Lotis Key should be manager of the year. She will help Wesley become the next American World Champion. Wesley is now USA and not Philippines. He won’t ever play for the Philippines again.
So made correct decision.
Great addition to uscf
