Chess Association of “West Azarbaijan” province on behalf of I.R. Iran Chess Federation is pleased to invite all players from national federations to participate in the 4th Sardaran International Open Chess Tournaments from 22-29 July 2015, at Morvarid Hotel, in Urmia, Iran.
The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament, open for local and foreign players who have FIDE ID.
The tournament will be valid for FIDE rating and norms and all participants accept to fully comply with the rules and regulations of I.R. Iran. The tempo of play is 90′ + 30″.
The organizers provide the hefty prize fund in total of USD$ 25,000, as well as free accommodation for one player from each country.
The chess festival consists of five different tournaments:
– Open A – for players rated over 2100
– Open B – for players rated below 2100
– Open C – for youth players U14 (Boys & Girls)
– Open D – for women players (Maral Cup)
– Open E – blitz tournament with tempo of play 3′ + 2″
