The 2015 Namibia Open Junior Chess Championship was organized by Namibia Chess Federation on June, 20, in the Walvis Bay Private High School, Walvis Bay.
The event gathered 270 young players from all over Namibia and it was separated into seven different sections – Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20.
Dante Beukes (U12), Mika Oberholzer (U10) and Alexander Bertelsmann (U8) were convincing winners in the youngest groups. Each of them proved an absolute supremacy by finishing with perfect 7/7 score.
Beukes finished first under 12, Oberholzer emerged a winner under 10, while Bertelsmann took the gold under 8.
Antony Van Der Meer (U14) was the champion under 14 with 6,5 points out of 7 rounds. Mbitjita Kahuure (U16) had the same score to top the group under 16 and so did Christopher Ndoroma (U18) to lift the trophy under 18.
Immanuel Gariseb (U20) was perfect under 20 with 7 points out of 7 rounds.
