Fantastic.
Wow! GM Wesley So finally playing again, this is GREAT NEWS to his fans. I just hope & pray that when the pairings are done, the organizer will give him good pairings… that is, strong players with high elo ratings and NOT low rated players where a win could only earn GM So a +.8 gain, draw a -3 & above & a loss a -6 & above. GM So deserves to play strong players w/ high elo ratings & not mere patsies & low rated playerd who almost often only play to draw against elite players like GM So.
It would be great if the organizer will provide a live feed via chessbomb since people can chat there while seeing live games. Chess Arena only shows live games but no fans interaction as there is no chat function there.
Clarrificatory question, this tourney is classified as an ” Open” tournament since many players can play but restrictive in a sense & partakes the nature of “close” tourney as participants are limited only to 50 players right? If thats the case, I hope the organizer aside from publishing names of the participants with their title also indicate their FIDE elo ratings beside their name. So that fans will know that depth of competitions and this is especially true in the case of GM Wesley So fans where they always check the elo rating of his opponents to see possibilities of elo gain or loss for a win, draw or loss. Hope you will do it. TY
You can look up their ratings yourself. It makes no sense to publish the ratings now if they will change quite a bit in 2 months. Don’t be so lazy.
Who cares about the published ratings? If you want to see it, go to fide.com. Que es la problema?
