Go, Gata, Go!!!
That was scary, twelve minutes after you posted that I was logging on to post:
“GO,GO GO Gata Go!”
Would love to see a Kamsky NAKAMURA final, if they even have finals in the US Championship
A lot of typical Americain names:)
Susan, I was hoping you would play. ):
Yes America has open borders
Many immigrants Unlike many other countries
Id love to see Nakamura put it all together and get stronger and stronger.
Ivanchuck should take it this time
OOps! I meant Kaidanov should take it this time
I am shocked but there are more good players than I realized in USA. That is wonderful for chess. I feel that so many of them have a real honest shot at winning. I dont think Nakamura will win this easy. it will be a very interesting wonderful exciting tournament. I know I will watch it every day.
Obviously the most probably result will pit Nakamura against Kamsky in the finals. I would just love to watch that Match. but both of these guys will have to work very very hard and maybe have a little luck to reach the finals.
I would have loved to see Susan playing in top form all focused and prepared and ready to win the top spot. but that did not happen. Susan made the correct decision in passing up the tournament this year.
I would like to add that there are 44 more wonderful players below those listed.
I want to take this time to be the first to congratulate the winners. they will have earned their titles. and I want to thank AF4C and all 64 players for giving me such a wonderful experience watching all this wonderful chess. I wish every player to play all the best moves, to have the best of luck, and to be filled with joy during the entire tournament. Remember there are no losers. everyone is a winner.

Mike, we must be on the same wavelength, and, yes, that MUST be scary! 🙂
Of course, I, like all of you, am looking forward to watching the “big boys” play; but I would really love to see Kelly Cottrel upset some higher rated player or two. All the controversy aside, she has to be feeling overwhelmed.
This division into two groups seems artificial. Any particular reason why they do not have one large group playing 10 rounds instead of two smaller groups playing 9 rounds?
