Two Webster University students share 1st at Missouri State Rapid Championship
On board 1, Webster University freshman GM Fidel Corrales Jimenez defeated his teammate GM Anatoly Bykhovsky with white in the final round to earn a share of first place.
On board 2, Webster sophomore IM Vitaly Neimer defeated junior GM Boros with black to tie with Corrales Jimenez for 1st at the 2012 Missouri State Rapid Championship.
Both only yielded one draw to each other.
1/2 point behind was Webster junior GM Anatoly Bykhovsky and 8th grader Tom Polgar.
Another Webster freshman, Vanita Young, tied for 1st in the Novice section.
