Azerbaijani champion Eltaj Safarli wins first game in Aeroflot Open

The second round of the Aeroflot Open chess festival has been played in Moscow.

According to News.Az, Rauf Mammadov is 17th with 1.5 points in the contest of the strongest lagging behind the leaders just by 0.5 points. In the second round he held a draw game with Russian chess player Eugeni Nayer.

Eltaj Safarli won his first victory. He beat Darvin Laylo from Philippines. In the first round Eltaj lost to Nayer. He is just 47th with 1 point so far.

The prize fund of the contest equals 70,000 euros. The winner by results of 9 rounds will get 21,000.
