The 18th International Chess Open de Sants, Hostafrancs & La Bordeta is taking place from 19-28th August 2016 at the Auditori del Centre Cívic de les Cotxeres de Sants in Barcelona, Spain.
The tournament format is 10-round Swiss. There are three playing groups: Open A (all players eligible), Open B (U2100) and Open C (U1800). The tournament will be valid for title norms and for FIDE, FEDA and FCE rating.
Open Internacional de Sants results will give points for the Catalan Circuit (A superior category).
Top prizes are 3000 € + Trophy / 2000 € + Trophy / 1200 € + Trophy / 800 € / 600 € / 500 € / 400 €. Full prize list on the tournament website.
