The Chess Association of “Guilan” province under the auspices of I.R. Iran Chess Federation has the honor to invite all players of national federations to participate in the the 14th International Chess Festival “Khazar Cup” which will be held in Ziba Kenar, Iran, from the 10th February (arrival) till the 18th of February (departure) 2016.
The event will be held at Ziba Kenar Recreational and Educational Complex located in Ziba Kenar, Guilan, Iran and will be split into four separate tournaments:
Category A Master Tournament – open for players rated 2100 and above
Category B – open for players rated below 2100
Category C – open for women players
Category D – open for cadets and youth chess players under 14 years old.
The time control is 90′ + 30″, while default time for arriving player on the game is 30 minutes. Top prize in Category A is 70,000,000 IRR (approximately 2,200 EUR).
The winner of the 13th Khazar Cup 2015 was GM Jacek Stopa from Poland.
Accommodation will be at Kosar Hotel in Ziba Kenar Recreational and Educational Complex. Hotel will be free for GMs & IMs and one first player from each country (First Come First Serve).
