Prize Fund
The total prize fund is $25,000 to be split as follows:
1st $7,000
2nd $5,000
3rd $3,000
4th $2,500
5th $2,000
6th $1,500
7th-10th $1,000
There is also a $300 Brilliancy Prize sponsored by Goddess Chess.
Tie Breaks
If there is a tie for 1st place at the end of the tournament, the top two players on tie-breaks will split the money but will play the following for the title of US Women’s Champion.
a) Two G/20 minute games
b) Two G/10 minute games
c) One Armageddon game with white having 7 minutes and black having 5 minutes but black wins in case of a draw.
Tie breaks to determine the above two players or for the Zonal qualification places will be decided on the following systems:
a) Head to head results between the players involved in the tie.
b) Most points scored against players scoring 50% of more.
c) Most wins.
