Bulgaria’s Topalov Loses 2nd Game in World Chess Title Match
Sports April 25, 2010, Sunday
World chess champion Viswanathan Anand has beaten his Bulgarian opponent Veselin Topalov in the second game of the World Chess Title Match in Sofia.
After winning the first game on the 31st move on Saturday, Topalov lost to Anand at the 43rd move on Sunday, bringing the score to 1:1 with 10 more games to go.
Topalov’s situation was bleak after the 30th move and despite his attempt, he failed to reach a draw. Anand played with the black (white, not black) pieces on Sunday.
The two chess masters will have a break on Monday, and will face one another again on Tuesday when Topalov will be with the white pieces.

More very poor journalism from the source of that article. “Anand played with the black pieces on Sunday” is very obviously wrong and would have been very easy to check. Why do so many journalists do such a bad job with chess?
