FIDE Online Arena proudly announces the 1st FIDE World Online Amateur Blitz Championship and the 1st FIDE World Online Junior Blitz Championship.
For each competition a total prize fund of 4250 USD will be distributed to the winners. Both Championships consist of a qualifying phase, a semi-final and a final tournament.
Qualifying tournaments will be held on Thursdays from April 9th, 2015 (Amateur 1) to August 20th, 2015 (Junior 8).
Semi-finals and finals in October 2015.
Qualifying tournaments are 9 to 11 round swiss tournaments (depending on the number of participants) and the time control is 3m+2s.
The final tournament will be a 16 player round robin with the same time control.
