1.Bxf6 Rxh5
(1… Rd7 2.Rhe5)
2.Rd1 Rd5
3.Rxd5 Rg2+
4.Rd2
This spoils black’s attempt to move K to f8 before white’s Rd8+.he will remain a piece down.
1 Bf6 Rh5 2 Rd1
Seems to me that Bxf6 should do it.
Eventually white Rd1 to deliver
the coup de grace at d8? Cannot see how black can prevent the eventual checkmate.
1. Bxf6!
is simply up with bishop, because of:
1. … Rxh5
2. Rd1!!
Now Rd8# is hard to avoid since Ke8 doesn’t help.
2. … Rd5
To give back rook was only move (to deflect white rook from 1st rank).
3. Rxd5 Rg1+ (enforced)
4. Kc2 Kg8
Escape path to h7 was now open.
Or alternate 4th move by black:
4. … Rg2+
6. Rd2 Rxd2
7. Kxd2
The quick mate was prevented, but in both above lines white remains up with a bishop and wins.
1.Bxf6 Rxh6 2. Rd1 followed by 3.Rd8 mate
1.Bxf6 Rxh5 2. Rd1 followed by 3.Rd8 mate
1. Bxf6 Rxh5
2. Rd1 Re5 (else mate on d8)
3. Bxd5
1-0
1. Bxf6, Rxh5
2. Rd1 , Re5
3. Bxe5 +-
1. Bxf6, Rxh5
2. Rd1, Re5
3. Rxe5 +-
1. Bxf6, Rxh5
2. Rd1, Re5
3. Rxe5 +-
Candidates move are :
a. Bd6+ (check)
b. Bxf6 (material)
c. Rf5 (attack)
If :
a. 1. Bd6+ Rxd6 white’s get nothing
b. 1. Bxf6 Rxh5 2. Rd1 threatening mate forcing black to play…Rg1 and 3. Rxg1 white win material
c. 1. Rf5 Bxe5 2. Rfxe5 Rxe5 black 2 pawn ahead.
So, i think the right answer is to play 1. Bxf6
Bishop f6, Rook h5, Rook d1 wins i think
Bishop takes f6, Rook takes h5, Rook d1 wins i think
Bf6! after RxR, then Rd1!
Bxf6 Rxh5 Rd1 Re5 Bxe5 wins a piece.
My earlier solution was inconsistent with the position(I missed reporting 3…. Rg1+ 4.Kc2 Rg2+.Howevever I would not play 5.Rd2)
1.Bxf6 Rxh5
2.Rd1 Rd5
3.Rxd5 Rg1+
4.Kc2 Rg2+
5.Kb3 Kg8
6.Rd8+ Kh7
7.Rh8+ Kg6
8.Rg8+ Kxf6
9.Rxg1 white is full Rook up.
