The Moscow Chess Federation is holding its first Superfinal Championship on 30-31st January, 2014, at the Russian State Social University.
The tournament format will be round robin with rapid time control in men and women sections.
Top five finishers from the Moscow Championships (in both sections) will be joined by the invited top Grandmasters.
The qualified players are FM Dmitry Gordievsky, GM Urii Eliseev, GM Evgeniy Najer, Maksim Vavulin, IM Irina Vasilevich, WIM Dina Drozdova, WGM Daria Charochkina, WGM Elmira Mirzoeva and Anna Gvantseladze.
The invited players who have confirmed participation are Alexander Grischuk, Alexander Morozevich, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Boris Grachev, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Valentina Gunina, Ekaterina Kovalevskaya, Olga Girya and Alina Kashlinskaya.
Two more players for the men tournament to be announced.
Kosteniuk will win the men’s section with perfect score while tweeting and updating her blog. She’s the best.
