FIDE President met with Mayor of Xiamen city of China Mr. Liu Keqing. At the meeting also present was Ms. Tsai Guiju, Chairman of Association of Chinese businessmen in Russia. An agreement with Gaonan Company has been signed at the meeting. The both sides discussed the possibilities of implementation of CiS programme in Xiamen city. According to Liu Keqing, Xiamen’s leadership is interested in it and can provide the premises for construction of chess academy. It was also confirmed at the meeting that Gaonan Company intends to become one of the sponsors of upcoming fifth stage of FIDE Grand Prix Series in Beijing which starts on July 3rd.
