This will be the 10th year that the Federació Catalana d’Escacs will organize the Catalan International Chess Circuit, which will take place from May 2nd to September 22nd 2013.
The circuit offers a huge range of tournaments for players worldwide.
The approximate number of participants is 3.600 players representing over 50 different countries, who will share total of € 175,000 in prizes.
The winners of the overall standings will receive 12.000 Euros in money prizes. 1st place – 2.000 €; 2nd place – 1.000 €; 3rd place – 700 €.
The 2012 edition was won by Peruvian GM Emilio Cordova.
