As I first broke the news 3 days ago in a blog post about London as a possible venue for the Candidates Tournament, it is now confirmed by a few sources.
Candidates Tournament with Aronian’s participation to be held in London

The next Candidates Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 23-Nov.13 this year in London, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov told Russian Sport-Express.
The full World Championship cycle list for 2013-2014 includes Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Levon Aronian (Armenia), Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), Peter Svidler (Russia), Alexander Grischuk (Russia), Vasily Ivanchuk (Ukraine), Teymur Radjabov (Azerbaijan), and either Boris Gelfand (Isreael) or Viswanathan Anand (India). The World Chess Championship 2012 match will be held between Anand and Gelfand this May, the one who will lose will join the list.

This should be held in Crossville, TN, home of the US Chess Federation. They’re loaded with money.

I wonder why they went with Teymur Radjabov as their wildcard pick? You’d think they would tried to have promote Adams or Short as underdog contenders.
