Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Glad to see Hou Yifan past the 2600 barrier. Now what we want is a Judith vs Hou match up. Guess that won’t happen unless the two meet up in some tournament.
naka and carlsen elo rating difference – day and night
In my expert opinion, chess rating do not represent the actual player’s strength. So many lower rated beat so many high rated players all the time. The only thing that represents the actual player’s strength nobody is able to figure out yet with a precise formula.
It is sad, but ultimately the king has to abdicate the throne to the usurper… Carlsen waits..
The top four women are scheduled to be at Gibraltar 2012 http://www.gibraltarchesscongress.com/who_is_playing_masters.htm
snrao: Yes, I also agree that it is high time Carlsen played in a World Championship event. It’s bad both for him and the current champion, as well as the legitimacy of the Championship if the top tournament player is not part of the cycle.
