Kramnik starts with the white pieces

Today’s drawing of lots has pointed out that in tomorrow’s first game of the 2008 World Chess Championship Match Vladimir Kramnik will play with the white pieces and Viswanathan Anand with the black pieces. A small report on the drawing of lots.
Tonight the drawing of lots was held at the Altes Rathaus in the old centre of Bonn. It took place after the players had signed the “Golden Book” of the city of Bonn, and after some speeches were held at the opening banquet by, among others, FIDE Honorary President Florencio Campomanes.

Kramnik will prevail and win match against Anand!
Kramnik will win this match easily. I just hope it’s not a total blowout.
Anand will win this match easily. I just hope it’s not a total blowout.
Kramnik will destroy Anand. About time!!! Since for the past year there hasn’t been a real WCC.
Campo was there?
KRAMNIK WILL PREVAIL AND REDUCE ANAND TO TEARS!!!
I wish both anand and kramnik a very good day i am sure whoever takes the lead is sure to win teh title. Anyway my support is for ANAND
Look on the bright side.
If Kramnik wins, we have another cycle of toilet jokes waiting for him! 🙂
hi susan..i was wondering what is the role of seconds…!?
Seconds are usually used to count up to minutes and then up to hours.
It is a very deep subject.
Anyone who says that one player is going to win easely clearly doesn’t have a clue about top level chess.
What time do the games start (uk time)?
Can anyone tell me what time will Game 1 start Indian Standard Time (IST)
UK time i think is 2pm with half hour delay in broadcast. (3pm CET)
