Could a person outside the playing hall obtain a receiver that could listen to the radio transmissions from the players’ MonRoi devices?

Ok so what if they could get a receiver and pickup the transmission from the device the player is using.
It’s worthless to do so – the device the player is using cannot receive anything and that has been tested and approved by USCF and FIDE.
So stop with your techno-phobia and get into the real world or crawl back under the rock you came from.

Yep, it’s Sam. I wonder why he doesn’t have his hair dyed… He normally does that for big tournaments. I’m glad he shaved is beard, though. That just looked weird.

That photo is the one, the only, the Shankypanky! He was trying to intimidate his chess teacher and today’s opponent, IM Josh Friedel. Unfortunately for Sam, it didn’t work very well.
