1 Rxh6+ and mat follows
Olimat
Rxh6+ definitely. Just like one of those from Susan’s book “Chess Tactics for Champions”.
This is one of the easiest puzzles you’ve had in a while. Not complaining mind you, some of them have been very complicated.
Rxh6+ wins, black has to take and if …Kxh6, Qh8 is mate, if …gxh6 then Qg8 is mate.
This is one of those moves that are easy to find if you know there’s a very good move to be found. Not quite so easy to find if you’re in the middle of a game, and have played for several hours.
