Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Magnus rocks!
18 year old number 1 in the world…thats gotta be a record. wow
That eclipses anything I know of.It’s simply astouding. Glad this new generation has produced such a talent.
A record? Well, live ratings are quite new in itself. I prefer a WC title as a marker, because live ratings fluctutate each tournament especially if the differences are this small. You see former no 1 wasn’t playing here.
Norwegians. Best when it counts.
Carlsen makes history. Congraulations!
Well-deserved congratulations For Magnus!Keep going!
An impressive show of fortitude, perseverance, and skill by Magnus!
“You see former no 1 wasn’t playing here.”
So? At some point Topalov will play in a tournament and have an opportunity to move past Carlsen.
That exactly proves my point that being no 1 or 2 or 3 at the Live-list doens’t mean a very great deal.
And remember Carlsen already hit no 1 at the Live-list, but people tend to forget facts of the past so quickly. often they don’t know what they’re talkign about.
