If Ilyumzhinov wins this election, I’m moving to America! Wait a minute, I already live in America?
Susan,
Many Greetings…. A cursory glance thru the list Shows All Mr., but there is no Mrs. /Ms. in any of the governing body seats. Is that one reason for the difference in growth of Men’s & Women’s Chess!? Some days back you had posted umpteen reasons for Why Not many Girls pick up Chess as profession. Most of the challenges you had mentioned hold true for boys as well (to pursue a game which is essentially tagged as game of nerds, one which doesn’t get mention under sports sections of leading news sites read BBC,CNN, is like outright insane choice for profession). Maybe you should think about contesting for positions in the governing body and insist other WGM to do so as well. Like most sport participation of Players in Governing body will do Chess a World Of Good.
Happy 8th of March !!!
