SPICE Cup Open and SPICE Cup Scholastic Open are once again two of the events which are a part of the SPICE Cup Chess Festival.
Just as last year, the SPICE Cup will be held on campus at Texas Tech University and is co-organized by Texas Tech University, SPICE and the Susan Polgar Foundation.
Impressive field. No American university can put together events like this. Congratulations.
This will be exciting.
GM Eduardo Iturrizaga should fit fine in Group A..
Why? He would be lucky to be invited to the B group. He would need to be above 2625 to be in the A group, right?
For some people it is all about rating, you have to be above this..you have to be above that. In the end I promise you Iturrizaga could win Group A. But some people have to see it to believe it, right?
What did Iturrizaga do to earn it? I’m sure there are 50 GMs who’s vying for the 6 spots in the A group. Why should he get it? Are you a joker? His rating is even lower than some players in the B group. He may not even win the B group.
I am surprised that you can easily get upset for just a comment. I dont even know you and i know how intolerant people could become. My comment should have been treated just as a comment and a tolerant person would have said something like ” you maybe right about Iturrizaga but i dont think he could be in the plans “..but i think is too much to ask for someone like yourself..
Who’s upset? I don’t see any upset person here. I only see a person who makes a ridiculous claim that a 2550 GM will win the SPICE A group. You need to have a drink and chill.
“You need to have a drink and chill.”
Me too!
Iturrizaga great player!…:-)
