Rough translation:
I ask my supporters, friends, chess colleagues, and many chess enthusiasts to forgive me for the emotional interview. I was very upset after losing (to So), but I am not planning to give up chess. I also wish to challenge the reports on SMI about me leaving the game.
Respectfully,
Vassily Ivanchuk
Chess without Chucky is like Vodka without drinking glass!
I am very glad to hear that he is not going to give up chess, I understand his being upset, a true competitor never likes to lose and to do so on such a grand stage is bound to be upsetting.
I can’t wait to see how Vasya will react when Wesley So beats him again.

Which means it’s a lot merrier … you drink it straight from the bottle!
Thank Goddess!

Glad to hear it. Ivanchuk was understandably upset after losing to So, but So’s victory over Kamsky has proven that he’s no flash in the pan.
Did anyone really think he was going to give up chess? The only thing I haven’t heard yet is his apology for saying “My opponent .. played very badly.” Pretty classless for such an experienced GM if you ask me.
