Navy team at final decisive round with Fischer Chess Club
Navy emerges Champions and ranks as Top Team at Russian Ambassador Challenge Trophy Chess Championship
Sri Lanka Navy emerged as Champions and ranked as No-1 out of 35 leading teams, winning the Russian Ambassador Challenge Trophy Chess Championship conducted by the Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of the Russian Centre in Colombo which was concluded on 13th February 2011.
The highly prestigious Chess Championship open for all age group chess players island-wide was keenly contested by the leading chess playing schools, universities, clubs, institutions and companies in the country. It was held from 11th to 13th February 2011 at the Isipathana College, Colombo in 05 rounds to test the true skills of the competitors.
