Bobby Fischer Book Coming From powerHouse Books
Photojournalist Harry Benson has created a book featuring rare and exclusive photographs of reclusive chess master Bobby Fischer. powerHouse Books will publish Bobby Fischer in July 2011 at the same time as HBO’s release of the documentary, Bobby Fischer Against the World.
Here’s more from the press release: “Benson met Fischer in Argentina, during the qualifiers for the match, and followed him through his training and conditioning in New York, during the many weeks of the [1972 World Chess Championship] match, and was there in the winning moment to document Fischer’s historic victory. Fischer was a known recluse, and Benson was one of the very few people he would talk to throughout these defining moments in his life.”
Benson’s photos have appeared in several magazines including Life, Vanity Fair, People and The New Yorker. Throughout his career, he has created photo books profiling several celebrities including The Beatles, senator Robert F. Kennedy, and President Ronald Reagan.

Man, he’s worth more now than when he was alive…but that’s the way of the world, right?
Bobby Fischer was absolutely correct:
That the so called confidantes and journalists close to him are just a bunch of maggots and leeches.
You left out Jews and fascists.
