My wild guess is the order that they were listed in the question:
1. Kasparov
2. J. Polgar
3. Karpov
4. Korchnoi
Does Susan have a guess?
I agree
You saw it here first:
1. Judit Polgar
2. Karpov
3. Kasparov
4. Korchnoi
Without opening preparation, Kasparov is not so strong, just take a look at his record against Gulko!
I just love to see Judit win.
1.karpov
2.judit
3.kasparov
4.korchnoi
Nobody gives Korchnoi any respect.
1. Kasparov, Korchnot (tie)
3. Karpov, Polgar (tie)
Kasparov’s still a beast with 1000 eyes…
I think this might be a toss up for anyone. this is Fischer Random Chess and fast games so I think anything can and plenty will happen.
Judit is very good at tactics. she might be a little rusty. but I think with a little luck she can win the whole bag of marbles.
here is an excellent write up on the Fischer Random Game. this is actually taken from a book newly published. It is great to help really appreciate this tournament.
enjoy the reading. this is better than expected.

you will have to add the dot PDF at the end of the string to get the web page of the book. dont know why it does not print up here.

I am trying now with a small case on the pdf. before I tried with capital letters because that is what was on the web site.
Susan,
Could you please post information about events like this and significant chess news to girl’s blog as well? My daughter is always interested to read what is going on but I do not want her to read this blog because some comments are not appropriate for her age.
Thanks,
Diana
You got it Diane! I will try to do my best.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar

Some was quoted as saying that even tho Kasparov was the world’s best player of traditional chess, that Kasparov would probably Not be the world’s best chess960 (FRC) player (sorry I cannot recall who said it).
When told of this quotation, Kasparov said “He is out of his mind, I would beat everyone at FRC” (or words very similar).
We shall see if GK is right about that. I believe GK is right because …
In Mainz Germany every August, their chess960 round-by-round results show upsets by lower rated players are rare (posted on ChessTigers.de). The best “chess1” players are also the best chess960 players; because they are essentially the same game.
BTWay, in Mainz in 2006/08, future World Chess Champion Levon Aronian challenges for the chess960 champion title being defended by Peter Svidler (who in San Luis 2005 finished second to new FIDE champ Veselin Topalov). Thus except for the rapid time control, chess960 is being played seriously by the very best chess players alive today.
