Ray Robson and Monika Socko drew each other in round 7. This gave an opportunity for IM Petrov to catch up by defeating IM Kiik. In round 8, two of the three leaders, IMs Robson and Petrov will face each other. In the mean time, the other leader, GM Socko, will face GM Radulski.

Both Robson and Petrov are in contention for GM norms.
