Carlsen will need Topalov’s help if Topa can beat Anand Carlsen will have a chance to win this tournament!
Wasn’t Capablanca who said the stronger player is always lucky!
i am sick and tired of all this excuses … because of a blunder. Blunder is the cumulative effect of a strong play by the other opponent, was it not said that when Fischer played other strong players they were always making weaker moves than they were known for. Go Carlsen Go. I am now more than ever convinced that Kasparov would dare not come out of retirement. The fear of Carlsen is the beginning of wisdom.
The most likely result of a chess game is a draw, unless one player makes a significant mistake. Players like Anand anticipate the result and save their energy for next game. A hard fought draw only weakens you for the next game, because of long hours of concentration.
Carlsen’s luck should end somewhere.
“…Blunder is the cumulative effect of a strong play by the other opponent …”
Noway! Then blunders would be the order of the day. A blunder played by a top player however is rare.
