A little jarring, out of tone – in my opinion. I am musician, then I know something about that.
The tape is good but it cannot replace the real live experince and believe me there was not much “jarring”
Is ‘jarring” wrong? Ok, I agree with you, my english is very bad.
For those few people out there who don’t know it, the piece is the first movement of Mozart’s “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik”.
In my experience, compression, incorrect “levels”, and use of inexpensive recording equipment can often lead to a misleading impression of the quality of a performance. Note that the “bad tone” seems to come at points of high volume, which is precisely what one would expect due to clipping or compression issues.
