Blog provides great amount of information, Which is good!!!
Nice to see more strong tournament like this in the later half of the year. Now, the seven big classical time controlled tournaments are well spread across the year
corus, linares, mtel, dortmund, bilbao masters, nanjing, tal memorial.
I wonder why the dortmund and tal memorial are not included as part of the grand prix series.
Pity that Aronian won’t play there.
@Harish:
1) There are several other tournaments now who are as “big” or almost: Bazna, Romania is currently going and includes (alphabetic order) Gelfand, Ivanchuk, Kamsky, Nisipeanu, Radjabov and Shirov. Biel, San Sebastian and London also have strong fields [too lazy to look them up now ….]
2) From what I heard and read, Dortmund doesn’t care about, or want to be part of the Grand Prix – they prefer not dealing with Danailov …. .
Whats up Harish tough game our last one huh? hehe, you guys gettin too good so i gotta go to the Black Chess now – UltraCool !!! They say im losing my killer instincts hehe, Strong event here put in Zhou Yining/with the Jordan fist pump! hahaaha
Wang Yue will be the sixth player

Why always Wang Yue (2738) just because he is the highest-rated Chinese player? He already had several supertournament invitations and “didn’t really impress” … . What about Ni Hua (2724), Bu Xianghzhi (2704) or Wang Hao (2696)?? [All ratings are from the April 2009 list]
